| We had a much needed time to relax, not to mention escaping one of the hottest days of summer So. Cal has seen in awhile. The weather turned pleasant, which we were very grateful for. Scott, life has a way of turning for the best sometimes and we are glad yours turned to the caretaker of Mountain High. Your breakfasts are out of this world, enjoyed them very much. Dear Scott and Martha, Thanks so much for the wonderful time at Mountain High. As the new owners, you all are doing a wonderful job adding your own touches and carrying on the past traditions and hospitalities. The breakfasts were sumptuous and filling with all the details just right. And the surprise cookies and cake to celebrate our anniversary were great touches and very thoughtful. We didn't know what to expect but we were greatly pleased and surprised. The improvements to the Rose Cottage kitchen and bathroom are great and I know the new spa and gazebo (snow storm proof I hear) will be great. | We got "snowbound" for and extra night during this weekend of the big storm. At least 2' of snow here, but couldn't have been stranded in a better place. Our hosts went above and beyond making sure we were taken care of and their 'bed & breakfast' became 'bed & breakfast/lunch/dinner' for 3 days (actually 4). They are very kind and generous people and will definitely be back (during non-snow season) - but the snow was a nice change for So. Calif! Steve & Karla |

| We've been coming to Julian for years at all time of the year - but, we've never seen stars, galaxies, nebula and planets like we did last night with Scott's expert guidance and green laser pointer. It was truly a night to remember! Afterward, nothing could be better than to warm ourselves by the stone fireplace in our adorable Woods Guest Room. We love the many outstanding decorative touches! Having a refrigerator and microwave were a godsend too! Our anniversary champagne was chilled perfectly! Scott and Martha's knowledge about Volcan Mountain is amazing - since Martha works there. We can't wait to hike up Volcan's trail to glimpse views of Julian! Our marvelous breakfast has arrived - they can cook too! We'll be back! Karen and Jim |
