Directions to Mountain High

WARNING - If you plan to use a car navigation system or GPS to find our B&B, be warned that the data contained in most is incorrect and will lead you to a dirt road that ends miles from Julian.  Please use the directions below to locate us.

These will get you here faster and easier than directions from the Internet!

From anywhere along the I15 corridor, North of San Diego:
Take I 15 South to Temecula and take the second Hwy. 79 turn off. This is Hwy. 79 SOUTH. Take Hwy. 79 south all the way (about an hour) to a small town called Santa Ysabel. Turn left at the three way intersection. Go about 6 miles (you will be about 1 mile from downtown Julian). You will see a large sign for "Pine Hills Lodge and Dinner Theater" on the left, also a county sign indicating "William Heise County Park" on the right. You are at Pine Hills Road, turn right. Go about one mile to Deer Lake Park Road and turn left, you are blind to oncoming traffic, BE CAREFUL!. Our address is 4110 Deer Lake Park Road. It is on the right about a mile up Deer Lake Park Rd.

From anywhere on the I5 corridor, North of San Diego
Take 5 South to Hwy. 78 East.  Stay on 78 through San Marco, Escondido, past the Wild Animal Park and into Ramona. When you get to Ramona, turn left at the junction of Hwy. 67 and Hwy 78. Stay on 78 East through Santa Ysabel then Wynola and on towards Julian.  Look for a large sign for "Pine Hills Lodge and Dinner Theater" on the left, also a county sign indicating "William Heise County Park" on the right. You are at Pine Hills Road, turn right. Go about one mile to Deer Lake Park Road and turn left, you are blind to oncoming traffic, BE CAREFUL!. Our address is 4110 Deer Lake Park Road. From San Diego
Go east on I 8 to Japatul Road exit. You will get off and go left under the Freeway. You will go through Descanso and see a sign to Cuyamaca State Park. Turn left there and stay on that road. It will take you to the town of Julian. Go through town and turn left on Washington. (The corner with stop sign and where the town hall and the carriages are.) From El Centro
Go West on I 8 to Sunrise Highway (S1) exit. You will get off, turn right, and head North for approximately 23 miles.  You'll come to a tee with Hwy 79, turn right and it will take you to the town of Julian.  Go through town and turn left on Washington. (The corner with stop sign and where the town hall and the carriages are.) Go one mile and turn left onto Pine Hills Road. Remember: Your cell phones might not work while traveling through some of the back country. So please call first if you have questions about directions.  Mountain High has excellent Verizon cell phone service, as well as Julian and the local area.
