Mountain High Observatory with Roll-Off Roof

This is an animation of my observatory, showing the roll-off roof in operation.
This
SkyShed design observatory, located at 4350' above sea level, gives unsurpassed
views of the heavens, in one of the last dark sky sites in Southern California.
Housed inside is my Meade 14" LX200 GPS telescope.

The scope is fully computerized and can be controlled by either the hand
controller or the PC in the observatory.   The PC runs a variety of software that
will show images of the objects we're observing and a planetarium program
showing the night sky in real time.
